Adapted Physical Activity: tailor-made support

What is Adapted Physical Activity?

Adapted physical activity (APA), provided by a specifically trained professional, offers sports activities and strengthening exercises tailored to the physical abilities, expectations, needs and psychological state of each patient.

The APA is involved in orthopaedic, neurological and respiratory rehabilitation processes, using personalised physical exercises that meet therapeutic objectives. These are determined by the physiotherapy team and doctors specialising in rehabilitation.

Our activities

Pilates

Pilates is a gentle exercise method that strengthens the deep muscles, improves posture and promotes flexibility. By focusing on breathing and controlled movements, this practice helps to reduce stress, prevent pain and improve the overall balance of the body.

Nordic Walking

A dynamic form of walking using poles to engage the upper body, this activity improves cardiovascular fitness, strengthens muscles and promotes balance. By using the whole body, it is ideal for increasing endurance while reducing the impact on the joints.

Qi-gong

Qi-gong is a Chinese practice that combines slow movements, breathing and meditation. It promotes the circulation of energy in the body, improves flexibility, reduces stress and balances emotions. It is a gentle method ideal for enhancing physical and mental well-being.

Water aerobics

Physical activity in water combines muscle strengthening and cardio. Thanks to the resistance of the water, it tones the body, improves circulation and reduces the risk of injury. It is an ideal way to work gently while improving physical condition.

Coaching on request

Our adapted physical activity instructors specialise in caring for patients undergoing rehabilitation. They offer personalised support tailored to the needs and objectives of each individual. Whether it is a question of resuming an activity, progressing or motivating oneself, they offer tailor-made follow-up, promoting concrete and lasting results.
